Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. And although slavery ended over 100 years ago, the systems, beliefs, and prejudices it left behind are things we still battle today. And the impacts don't stop at politics or gaps in influence and wealth. Relationship dynamics between Black couples, families, and communities have also been burdened with intergenerational traumas stemming from slavery.If we're going to heal from the mental and emotional scars slavery left behind, we need to explore how intergenerational traumas impact Black men and women and identify ways to start healing.
