Listen "Episode 11 - Tessa Ferzli"
Episode Synopsis
Tessa Ferzli has been a 402A Red Seal Brick and Stone Mason since 2020. She was just 21 at the time making her Canada's youngest female red seal mason. Unlike most of our interviews to date, Tessa actually came to masonry through a Home-Building course in high school, after trying her hand at everything from pouring foundations to shingling roofs, she found a resonance with masonry. Today she is Manager/Estimator at a residential masonry contractor in Ottawa, Ontario. She is also a lover of tattoos and rescue dogs, and one of four founding members of Women on Site (WOS). In this episode we talk about work ethic and the drive to achieve, how hard construction can be and the importance of support networks like WOS.
