Listen "How to protect your sexual boundaries from Male friends, Colleagues and Ex-boyfriends?"
Episode Synopsis
Hi, my name is Divya Abirami, your host. In today’s episode, we are going to talk about some of the burning questions many of you have asked me recently. Questions like: 1. What can a girl do if her classmate or colleague forces her to be in a relationship with him despite her not being interested? 2. What do you do when a male best friend proposes to you or expresses sexual interest in you? 3. How to handle body shaming done by male friends? 4. My ex-boyfriend blackmails to publicize my private pictures, what can I do in this case? 5. If my coaching teacher sends me inappropriate text messages, what can I do in this case? I wanted to make this episode because there were so many girls who had messaged me about these matters. Many of you are spending several useful hours of your day, wondering, overthinking, stressed, and feeling guilty and ashamed about these matters. I have had many similar encounters with men. And I spent many years experiencing similar emotions about these matters and spending a lot of time which I could have used to live a better life. This was Until I found my Guru, Guru Pashupati. With his guidance, I got a lot of clarity about how to act in relationships. And I found my bigger purpose to work on and all my fears and useless emotions went away. I was able to use my time in a more profitable way than wasting it trying to resolve these matters. I felt confident, empowered, and certain about my life decisions. Today, I am going to interview none other than my Guru, Guru Pashupati to help you find answers to these questions. About Guru Pashupati @gurupashupati Guru Pashupati also known as Ashwin Chekava is a self-defense virtuoso with over 43 years of experience, dedicated to empowering young girls and women. His journey began when he witnessed the fear that plagued his college female friends due to public harassment. Shocked by the harrowing stories of women's experiences, he took action. As his female friends worked 2 jobs and couldn't invest a lot of time in learning, Guru Pashupati came up with a 4-hour Module. In just 4 hours, he equipped them with life-changing self-defense techniques, focusing on awareness, and body language, and bolstering their confidence in public spaces. This transformative 4-hour module evolved into the acclaimed "She Said No" program, reaching 20 million girls through the Central Government agency, NIPCCD. Guru Pashupati's commitment extended further as he co-founded the Na Boli Trust, where he educated over 500,000 government school children. His mission went beyond teaching self-defense only to girls; he taught young boys how to respect women in public settings. Collaborating with the Karnataka Police, on a project funded by UNICEF he created gender sensitivity among law enforcement officers. He also worked in the Women's Helpline 1091, offering counseling to women in need. Through 13 years of tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, he significantly reduced sexual harassment cases in the country. Guru Pashupati's vision doesn't end here; "She Said No" is just the beginning. His mission is to cultivate a generation of women educators who will shape a brighter future. He firmly believes that by empowering one generation, we will pave the way for a more peaceful society a decade from now.
