Listen "No one left alone for Thanksgiving"
Episode Synopsis
Episode Description:In this episode, I want to share my story and my plan for Thanksgiving. Every day, I think about how special it would be to have Thanksgiving dinner with my coworkers at the Lighthouse for the Blind. I just want to share my food, my gratitude, and my appreciation for the people who have been kind and supportive to me.Many of us are facing similar challenges—looking for jobs, dealing with uncertainty, and trying to stay positive. I am thankful that Spokane has opportunities for people with vision loss. It gives hope and purpose to so many who are struggling.Sometimes, it’s not easy. Many people live alone without family nearby, and that can be really hard. Loneliness can feel overwhelming, especially during the holidays. That’s why my family, friends, and I want to make a Thanksgiving dinner for everyone—to bring people together, share food, and create a sense of family and belonging.I also want to say thank you to those who have shown kindness and patience, especially my coworkers and mentors who have taught me so much. Your compassion means more than words can say.I hope my story reminds others that even in loneliness, kindness can light the way. We all need connection, love, and understanding. Maybe this Thanksgiving, we can all reach out to someone who needs a little warmth and remind them—they are not alone.
