In this message from the "Different" series in 1 Peter, Pastor Joey looks at how the gospel affects the home, primarily the marriage. In a culture that is attempting to redefine the home, marriage, gender, and sexuality, God has given us His perfect DESIGN (Genesis 2:18, 24). As a result, Christian marriage demonstrates equality of VALUE, but complimentary PURPOSES. Husbands are to be spiritual leaders of their homes, and wives are to follow their husbands in support and encouragement. This DESIGN is a gospel partnership! Husbands don't lord authority over their wives, but honor and cherish her.  Wives don't begrudgingly react, but respect and encourage.  And when the Christian home looks like love and respect (Ephesians 5:33), then God can use it for His greater purposes! The outside world sees the gospel instead of a battle field.  They witness love, compassion, forgiveness, AND truth!
