Listen ""The Disputing Prophet" / Malachi 3:6-12"
Episode Synopsis
In this finale of the "God In The Ruins" sermon series from the Minor Prophets, Pastor Joey looks at Malachi as we discover a culture that, once again, has forsaken their obedient faithfulness to God. Malachi is a series of disputes between God and the returned exiles to Jerusalem. The prophet begs the people to quite neglecting the Temple and the command of God to care for the Temple and the priests. This is NOT just some religious duty, but a reflection of their hearts that have, once again, turned away from God. God's Law demanded certain responsibilities, and the people were ditching them. As a result, culture was morally declining and God's people were compromising. Our faithfulness to God's house and to giving is a serious thing! Biblical stewardship is a Lordship issue! Message preached on Sunday, November 2022.
