The way we think, the way we feel, and what we believe is often heavily influenced by indoctrination of all kinds;  especially since the advent of social media.   One of the reasons that our country is so heavily divided at present is because of indoctrination.    Not only does indoctrination separate people from people,  but also people from God.  A person can be so overcome by the various doctrines that are proffered in our time that they have no room for Christ.  This is why Jesus said we need to be born again.
