We live in an increasingly suspicious age. We don’t trust BIG Tech, BIG Pharma, or BIG Gov. They wield too much power, exert too much influence, and access too much personal data. So goes the thinking. So when the Bible comes along and says God is BIG. He possesses all power. He holds all control. He exercises sovereignty over every sphere of our lives. We get sus. But here’s the beauty of the Bible: God knew we would have that reaction. We’re not the first culture to object to His sovereignty. He understands our reaction and gives us some help.
