Description: A classic hymn begins “In the hour of trial, Jesus, plead for me.” The words remind us that we can come to Jesus asking for prayer because indeed our Lord is always praying for us. John encourages us by telling us that “we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1). We can be confident that our prayers by which we bring our concerns to our Lord become part of His praying. We can come to Him with assurance that He prays for our protection and our unity at all times.
