"Blessed are those who have not seen but believed." 2nd Sunday of Easter 2023

Listen ""Blessed are those who have not seen but believed." 2nd Sunday of Easter 2023"

Episode Synopsis

In March 2022, our parish held six synodal
sessions as part of the global synodal process
being conducted by the worldwide Church in
2022. Reports from our parish were submitted
to the Diocese which, in turn, submitted a report
to the USCCB, who then submitted their report
onto the global synod team in the Vatican. A
lengthy document has been published by that
team, which is called the “Working Document
for the Continental Stage” (DCS). You can read
that document in its entirety at the following
website:
https://www.synod.va/content/dam/synod/
common/phases/continental-stage/dcs/
Documento-Tappa-Continentale-EN.pdf. For
links to the reports on all levels, local, USCCB and
Vatican, see: www.maryqueenofpeacepgh.org/
synod-2023.

The document is titled “Enlarge the Space of
Your Tent” and is an amazingly comprehensive
summary of views expressed by Catholics from
around the world. Interestingly, most of the
views expressed by members of Mary Queen of
Peace Parish were echoed by many others from
around the world, and are documented in the
DCS.
