There's a bit of history behind this: it's the original theme that was going to be played just before the shocking conclusion to Scratches. I particularly loved it because I felt it was super dark and moody, giving you the feeling that something truly sinister was just about to happen. However, Cellar of Rats decided that it didn't fit well with the rest of the soundtrack -- it was too synth-oriented, whereas the rest was definitely more orchestral. And that's why it was scrapped.

Due to an unforeseen issue, CoR lost his original file and I thought my copy (which CoR sent me shortly after we wrapped up the project) was lost as well. But here it is -- one of my favorite tunes in Scratches... that never made it to the game."
