For years, Colleen was the kind of woman who looked like she had it all together. She was a smart, capable, high-achieving mom of four. But secretly, she was using alcohol to self-soothe and unraveling on the inside. She tried everything: therapy, moderation strategies, even AA. She finally realized the reason nothing seemed to work was that her problem was not her relationship with alcohol. It was her relationship with herself. Colleen was her own biggest critic and worst enemy.
 
Colleen founded Emotional Sobriety Coaching, INC in 2021 to serve professional women who have lost themselves in the chaos of motherhood and career and become dependent on alcohol. Instead of demonizing their bad habits, clients are encouraged to get curious, and to change the goal to "being happy" instead of staying sober. Over the course of a year, they learn modalities in nervous system regulation, self-directed neuroplasticity, dopamine management and iterative mindset. With a 97 percent success rate and an average reduction in alcohol consumption of 80 percent, Colleen's methods and community are challenging the conventional approach to addiction.
