Episode Synopsis
5-minute affirmation practice from the book ‘Affirmations for Self-Healing’ written by Swami Kriyananda and inspired by the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. With sincere, daily repetition of this affirmation, we will create new pathways in the brain that will override previously conditioned, unconscious thought patterns of fear, anger, and anxiety.
Find a quiet place where you can sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes. You can sit cross legged on a cushion, or on an armless chair, sitting upright and away from the back rest.
You can use this affirmation practice by itself of following daily meditation. Optimal times to meditate are sunrise (or after waking up) noon, sunset and midnight (or before bed)
To ease your mind, silence your phone and let others close by know that you will be practicing an affirmation so that they leave you alone and don’t come running when they hear you talking in the other room :)
