"My life was not created for me to wallow in the depths of despair," proclaims A New Way Of Life Founder, Susan Burton as she retells her story of survival and resilience to Benjamin.

After decades of drug-use and several stints in prison, Susan knew she needed to reclaim her life. Once returning home from prison Susan discovered a community that didn't see the woman she once was, but the woman she could be and with that support A New Way Of Life was founded.

Twenty-five years later and Susan continues to welcome women who are returning home from prison with open arms and a promise to love them until they're able to love themselves.
