During today's conversation on Scripture & Story, we are going to continue our journey through the greatest chapter in all of the Bible! I'm probably not alone in saying that Romans 8 is my very favourite passage of scripture. It has such deep theological truths and stunning promises. If you and I were to really grab ahold of these truths, building our lives on them, and if we were to truly believe these promises are for us, I think our lives would dramatically change.  Today we focus on Romans 8:9-17. Have you ever felt obligated to do something? Paul makes it clear in these verses that we are not obligated to say yes to our flesh. Before we knew Jesus, we said yes to sin without even thinking about it. But now that we have the Holy Spirit living within us, we are not obligated to obey the demands of the flesh.
