Paige Rice discusses the biomechanics of jumps and leaps in dancers. Drawing on her own research, Paige talks about the importance of the stretch shortening cycle in the ankle joint for dancers, and how strength and conditioning interventions and training programmes focused on the lower leg can enhance performance in jumps and leaps.
