Hopping in and out, but flying into the building within minutes when a crisis occurs. The role of a school psych can vary widely, depending on the situation. I'm not just talking from country to country, province to province, or state to state. The role of a school psych at one school could look completely different from the school down the street.In this episode, I talk about how my schedule gets "arranged" (spoiler alert: we don't have assistants who do this for us), and strategies I use to make sure I'm providing equitable service to each of my schools. Then, I provide an overview of the different activities, commitments, and tasks that school psych might have in their calendar any given week, from risk/threat assessment to psych testing, to student services meetings.
