How we get the government we deserve. If our efforts to improve our society and the world we live in meet with frequent failure and sometimes with disaster, is there some very fundamental point which we are missing? Are we perhaps looking at all of the issues which concern us, be they economic, political social, personal or ecological in completely the wrong way? 2,500 years ago Plato in his philosophic masterpiece The Republic described one perfect form of government and four lesser forms in an analysis of human character and political institutions which is eerily prophetic of our current plight.
