Episode Synopsis

I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast. As I continue our week of looking at authentic happiness I found a study that showed how happiness and a joyful sense of purpose actually dramatically increased life expectancy. The American nun study published by the University of Kentucky looked at the autobiographical essays written by 180 nuns in the 1930’s just before they took their final vows. The study found that those nuns who wrote with very positive language about their lives and their religious devotion in their early 20’s lived an average of 10 years longer than those who used more neutral language. So stop and think about your life and how you would describe it to a complete stranger. Would it be positive or would it be negative or even neutral? If it’s not positive you might want to stop and consider what you could do to live with more joy and contentment. Because life is short, but if you aren’t living with authentic happiness, it will be even shorter.   Remember, Sax in the Morning swag is now available on my Instagram site.
