Listen "Episode 52 - No Rain, no Food - Serious Drought with Consequences | Daniel Kakuro John"
Episode Synopsis
Perhaps you have heard about the extreme droughts in numerous areas of Africa. However, many Europeans can't imagine what this really means, because as long as we have water ourselves, a real drought seems to be very far away from us. In today's podcast episode, Maggy interviews Daniel Kakuro John, a Maasai from Kenya. Daniel lives in Amboseli National Park, in southern Kenya, known for its large herds of elephants and views of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro. It's a beautiful part of this world with giraffes, zebras, antelopes, cheetahs and hundreds of species of birds. However, the current situation is frightening. Millions of animals, whether cows, goats or wildlife, are falling victim to the drought. Even the people do not know every day if and when they will have food next. To give hope to the next generation and change the situation, Daniel founded the Amboseli Community And Wildlife Welfare association. Find out what Daniel is working for in this episode.Your team at the SANUSPLANET Foundation
