Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death in children. A new program in Escondido, CA, is working to change that. The Escondido Union School District has partnered with the YMCA to provide free water safety lessons to students during the school day. This initiative aims to teach crucial swimming skills, build confidence, and ease parents' worries as more families head to pools and the ocean.
