Listen "STY #061- Lessons from the Tree of Life"
Episode Synopsis
Eric and Tess are back again for another special episode of the “Same Team Y’all” podcast!
The inspirational quote for this episode is from a video by the Pursuit of Wonder YouTube channel.
Tess’s loves for this episode are the “Bridgerton” book series by Julia Quinn, and her new pair of high-waisted “mom” jeans.
Eric’s loves for this episode are the commentary and critique of “Death Stranding” from Whitelight, and his new rock climbing gym membership.
For this week’s cake challenge we discuss the movie “The Tree of Life.” In the next episode we will discuss the movie “The Peanut Butter Falcon.”
This episode’s life lesson is two-fold and inspired by “The Tree of Life.”
– We say “be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle,” but anyone you meet could also be having a full blown crisis, so be kind, but also actively seek out people who may need help on one of the worst days of their life.
– Before you make a life decision on the basis of what “society” has deemed appropriate, ask yourself: Who made these rules? Who do they serve? Are they justifiable? Have they ever been justifiable?
