Deena Shakir is a Partner at Lux Capital. She invests in transformative technologies streamlining analog industries and improving lives and livelihoods. She is particularly interested in intersectional and polymath entrepreneurs building breakthrough companies and accelerating advances and equity in human and population health.Shakir joined Lux Capital as a Partner in late 2019. She has led Lux’s investments in Adyn, SteadyMD, H1, Shiru, Mos, and Neo.tax, among others. She is a founding VC member of the Valence Funding Network for Black entrepreneurs, and a public commentator on diversity and inclusion in venture capital and technology.
