Listen "Let's talk about commitment."

Episode Synopsis

Don't worry. I'm not talking about getting married.
I'm talking about becoming committed to a long-term idea or goal.
Maybe it's getting followers
Growing a business
or becoming a world-class ballerina
Sadly, that window has elapsed for me.

I know the haters may bring up the argument of failing fast as a business practice, but if you
want to become wildly successful, you may need to ensure that you stay committed for an
extended period.
I believe you can achieve a massive impact in 100 days but what if you were to take that energy
effort and commitment over a one-year or five-year period?
What is the skill you could master?
The leap you could make in your career.
Or
In your personal life
What limiting beliefs could you vanquish or slay
I worked as a hairdresser for about 15 years.
No matter how hard an assistant or junior worked, you could not outwork experience and the
ability to judge situations without making some failures. The difference between years one, two
and three is indescribable. This is because so many factors go into becoming the finished article.
And no two hairdressers are the same!
The funny thing is when you qualify (what a magical moment, money can't buy the feeling), I'm
getting shivers thinking about this.
The learnings and skills you develop are unique because of the heavy lifting you have completed
in the first five years. There were many times that I wanted to give up, but I'm so glad I pushed
through and moved forward.
Sorry, this is a bit longer, but I wanted to bring it up. People need to be more committed to long-
term goals before they start judging themselves or throwing in the towel.
What is your big goal, your big project, your significant investment and how committed are you
to the payoff, the delivery, the traction, the recognition?
I have posted every day across.

For the last eight weeks. I'm not saying this to show off. If you aren't repurposing content, you
should be. I say this because the content is performing remarkably differently on each channel.
Make sure you are enjoying the process or the task that you are invested in.
Do not think job, think career. Do not think day to day. Think quarter to quarter or year to year
Think about where you want to be in five years.
Imagine where you will be if you work consistently and commit to excelling at a skill or
delivering an experience.
It's exciting, right?!
Commit, commit.
