Send us a textJesus provides bread and wine miraculously and again administers the sacrament to the people.  He teaches the people that they are a remnant of the house of Israel, and that He is the one of which Moses and all the prophets have testified. Christ teaches the people about the nation that would be established in this land; a land in which the gentiles would gather and establish a “free people by the power of the Father”.The Savior’s words and actions throughout these chapters reveal how He feels about the scriptures. He quotes words from Isaiah and Malachi that are full of vivid images and comparisons: colorful foundation stones, coals in the fire, purified silver, the windows of heaven.  As He quotes the prophet Isaiah, Jesus teaches that Zion and her stakes will be established in the last days, and Israel will be gathered and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. The Savior further teaches that at the great and last day “all people, and all kindreds, and all nations and tongues shall stand before God, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil”.  As chapter 26 draws to a close, we see that many people were baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.
