In August of 2023, most of the town of Lahaina, on Maui was burned to the ground in a tragic fire that ripped through at a fierce speed destroying most of the old wooden, historic buildings, homes, neighborhoods and businesses.  Lahaina is a Hawaiian town that Emmy loves, for as a 22 year old she lived there for 9 months and it holds her memories.
