In this episode, Ryan, and his special guest Ana, take a look at Derry Girls, a coming of age dramedy created and written by Lisa Mcgee. It follows five highschoolers amidst the political conflict of Northern Ireland in the 1990s, while also having to square off with the universal challenges of being a teenager. Ryan and Ana talk about how the show balances comedy with the Northern Ireland Conflict, the different complexities of each character, and how the anthology-eskness of the show, made it hard to like some of the characters sometimes.
