conversation with Meryl, who, as a young woman was twice elected to public
office and continued in public service after that. We talk about her experience
being young and single and navigating public life then (in the 1990’s)—dating,
rumors, men behaving badly—and semi-public life now. We also include a short
bonus conversation between Merle and Cathy about democratic presidential
nominee Vice President Kamala Harris and what we know about her single life as
a public figure, her later-in-life marriage and co-parenting in a blended
family.

is a certified yoga instructor and coach. She has four children.
