Moving from stuck to starting over.

Do you ever get that stagnant feeling that nothing is changing? Nothing ever gets better? Are you asking yourself, “Why do I feel stuck in life?” Life can sometimes feel like you are stuck in the mud – immovable and hopeless, or worse in quicksand and you feel you are sinking and suffocating. It’s enough to create a depressive state in almost anyone.

Do you feel stuck in a dead end job? Or a bad relationship? Are you stuck in a negative cycle that just keeps repeating itself like some bizarre ground hog day movie?
This Podcast is for you. You will learn to discern when to keep trying to change your situation and when to turn to acceptance with joy. You will learn that it is possible to have joy IN your situation that won't change even when you are not HAPPY WITH the situation itself.

Our first interview or conversational podcast has my brother and partner in crime Norman Kissinger. He has a Masters in the subject of counseling, has decades of pastoral and para church ministry experience and is the husband of Sherry Kissinger they raised 10 kids together in Farmington Missouri.


As a supporting thought let me leave you with the full version of the serenity prayer which is chock full of insight regarding this issue of the stuck state.

Theologian Reinhold Neibuhr was the actual author (he also did in fact claim credit for it).  Niebuhr was a major influence on the German Pastor and Nazi resister, Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
