Episode Synopsis

Welcome back to Season 1 of RP Now. This is an unusual time to launch the podcast as we find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic. We pre-recorded several interviews during RP’s January 2020 Practice Leadership Summit, and like so many things, those episodes are on ‘pause’ for now. If there is one thing we are collectively learning or re-learning right now, it is adaptability.   Dr. Rich Heller is our host. Rich is a pediatric radiologist based in Chicago and serves as VP of Clinical Services and National Director of Pediatric Radiology. Today, we listen in on Rich’s conversation with RP Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jay Bronner, as they discuss the CMO perspective of COVID-19 and what it’s like to lead a practice of 1,600 radiologists during a once-in-a-generation pandemic. The conversation incudes information and insights about RP’s COVID-19 Taskforce; how RP has responded to the crisis; the diagnostic and interventional radiologists’ roles in treating COVID; and a look into the ‘crystal ball’ as telemedicine becomes more of a reality in a post-COVID world. The conversation ends on a lighter note with a round of rapid fire questions to help us ‘get to know Jay.’  If you have questions, comments or want to make suggestions for this podcast, email [email protected] podcast is intended for RP internal audiences only.
