The Royals have made a lot of mistakes leading up to the 2023 season where they reside as one of the worst teams in baseball yet again. One of the bigger mistakes was signing a questionably good player to a guaranteed 4-year deal worth $25 million. Which, for all intents and purposes isn't a LOT of money for MLB standards, but it still has had massive consequences to the Kansas City Royals. But today, we can put that all behind us as the bad man is now gone. Hunter Dozier has been designated for assignment, effectively removing him from the active roster. We don't have to talk about him anymore. We are free.
