The Royals drew a SOLD OUT crowd for Opening Day 2023. And how did they do?! ... ... ... Well, the Bobby Witt Jr. bobblehead looks nice on my shelf!
But before we get into any of that, we have to talk about two MONUMENTAL trades the Royals made just before game time. The future of Royals closers has gone up in smoke! What ever will we do?! Yes, indeed, "future closer 2019" Richard Lovelady is no longer in the Royals organization, and I have to put into perspective how utterly weird this storyline has been. There's also CAPTAIN SALVY! The C of the Royals is now an even more important C, being the 4th catcher in Royals history. Oh and I have announcements to make too but no one cares about me lol
