We have been looking at the life of King David. Our text for June 11, 2023 was 2 Samuel 7:1-17. In this key passage, David has what he believes to be a conviction to build a "house" for the LORD. However, the LORD has plans to build a "house" for David. This chapter is absolutely crucial to understanding the flow of the entire Bible and allows Christians to see Jesus as the promised Messiah and the eternal King in the lineage of king David.During the sermon this week, we noted that: The LORD keeps His Word, the LORD doesn't need our intentions, and the LORD desires our obedience.
