We have been looking at the life of King David. Our text for July 30, 2023 was 2 Samuel 12:1-15. After demonstrating the LORD God's faithfulness to His people and to David in the previous chapters and demonstrating David's faithfulness, this section highlights David's decent into adultery, theft,  and murder. The Scripture here wants us to see the destructive nature of sin as well as see the beauty of Jesus as the spotless/sinless One!  During the sermon this week, we attempted to draw out how God reveals Himself to us in His Word. After this, we made several points from the text (sin is blinding; Disobeying God's Word is Disobeying God; sin brings destruction; Be prepared to be a Nathan and know you are a David; the LORD is merciful toward repentant sinners). We pray that you enjoy and benefit from this look at God's Word!
