Following up on his elective class on Dec. 2, Pastor Brent banters with Pastor Paul about the call for wisdom (“biblical truth lived out”) and restraint as we’re surrounded by digital technology in our lives. As image bearers and Christ-followers, we must cultivate and protect biblical priorities. In addition to personal and cultural examples of exercising self-control, the pastors discuss several biblical texts including Gen. 2:15; Gal. 5:22-23; and 1 Cor. 9:24-27. Ultimately, all technology (including digital technology and AI) can and should be used to fulfill The Great Commandment (Mark 12:29-31) and The Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). “ ‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be enslaved by anything.” (1 Cor. 6:12b, ESV)
