Jen vents to her friend Denise over coffee, frustrated by Barry’s sloppiness and annoyed that his ex, Tessa, showed up again. Denise teases her, “Is it really about his messiness, or something else?” Jen rolls her eyes but doesn’t fully dismiss the idea.
Meanwhile, Barry complains to his friend Jake about all of Jen’s rules. Jake, also a doctor, laughs and says, “Sounds like she’s keeping you in line, man.” Barry pauses, then brightens, realizing, “You’re right. It’s kind of nice having someone who keeps things together.”
