English poet, performer, creator of folk song parodies and other "thingees", passed away at the age of 75 on January 14. 2023. Les, born in Manchester, England, had relocated to Bwlchgwyn, near Wrexham in northern Wales in the mid 200s. Les, who also authored more than 70 books and released 20 albums, visited with Ron Olesko on the WFDU show "Traditions" back in 2004 on one of his last visits to the United States. In this recording, you will hear Les recite some of his most well known pieces and also talk about how he he was led into this field of endeavor.
