As a quick refresher, macronutrients are the building blocks that add up to make calories. For instance, carbohydrates and protein are 4 calories per gram, alcohol is 7 calories per gram, and fat is 9 calories per gram.
What I love most about macronutrients and calories is that it’s all science, Baby! When we actually break down food into its simplest form, balancing our macronutrients to sustain muscle & lean body mass while reducing body fat; find the right formula for our body.
