Wisdom provides insight into the moral and ethical reality of life, shaping every perspective and decision so that all of life flourishes as God designed.While wealth can buy comfort, wisdom brings shalom; a fullness and harmony that surpasses material success. The young son is urged to value wisdom above gold or jewels, for to have wisdom is to have everything worth having; to lack wisdom is to be unable to hold on to any good thing. Yet wisdom cannot be earned or found through human striving—it is God’s generous gift to those who humbly and trustfully ask Him.
