Today I am honored to introduce and share - my friend, Valerie Hayes with you. Valerie has made a personal impact on my life and I know you will get so much value from this conversation. Although it was recorded during the C-19 pandemic, the tips and life hacks are totally applicable to any challenge when you need to pivot!
Valerie Hayes has always been a rock mover. Growing up in a home with parents who weren’t engaged, Valerie learned from a young age that if she wanted something to happen, she’d have to figure it out for herself. She put herself through college, pursued a career in corporate America, and then successfully ran a business for 18 years as a leading pageant interview coach. But then, the bottom dropped out. COVID hit, the pageant industry crashed, and her business went under. She needed to pivot.
So, she decided to use the skills she’d learned to help other women create success in their own small business. But that was a complete flop. Due to COVID, small businesses just didn’t have the money to invest in consulting. She was discouraged and depressed but was determined to succeed so she decided to pivot her pivot.
Now she runs a successful job search consulting business helping people get the job they want so they can change their life. Valerie is living proof that you can find success by moving rocks and then polishing them until they shine.
