The Austin Hip Hop Awards was founded in 2008 by Gee Corbin with two visions in mind. One... To show appreciation to the hard working and well deserving Hip Hop artists of the Capitol City, and Two....To inspire local artists by creating a unified platform, enabling them to achieve new heights. The sole purpose of the Austin Hip Hop Awards is to eventually put eyes on the Hip Hop scene of this great city to a point where we overshadow Houston and Dallas. Mr. Corbin saw a level of talent, in multiple artist, that surpassed a great percentage of mainstream talents in the city in 2008 such as Gutta, Basswood Lane, Gutta Gang, COD, ATV Records, 45th productions, and Impact. All of which have went on to go on tours, open for major artists, movie placement, and place production on major albums with people such as Paul Wall, Devin The Dude, Spice 1, Dot Mob, Styles P and the list goes on.  This is Austin.....This is Austin Hip Hop
