Today, we are praying for mercy for our nation. We deserve judgment, but with God there is HOPE. I encourage you today to speak LIFE over our nation. It's easy to fall into despair and hopelessness with all that is going on in our nation, but those emotions are not from our Father, they are from the enemy. I encourage you to NOT partner with them, but to partner with the HOPE of our Lord. We approach the throne of God today asking Him, as Abraham did, to withhold His judgement, and we appeal to His desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentence. 1 Peter 4:17 NLT - "For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News?" 2 Peter: 3:9-10  NLT-  "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment." Habakukk 3:2 NLT - "I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger,  remember your mercy." Jeremiah 29:7 NLT - "And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.” James 2:13b NASB - "Mercy triumphs over judgement."
