Pride is the opposite of humility, making it hard for us to come to the Lord. Pride is a false sense sufficiency. Apart from the Lord we are nothing and we cannot do anything. Understanding that helps us see just how much we need Jesus. Prideful people don’t need the Lord less, they just don’t realize they need him.Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”
