Jacob sought after God and stayed faithful to Him, and what Jacob got to see in his life proved his faithfulness. He had a “spring in his step,” from his encounter with God, and his heart was full of joy after God spoke to him. Even in the midst of his life being in danger, and other hard times in his life, his joy from God was greater.
