In this passage, we see Habakkuk sit back and wait for another reply from God toward his questions. He presumes that God will rebuke him, but instead, God directs him to write down the words He speaks as a woe to the Babylonians. However, in the words of God, we also see assurances to the believer of God’s sovereignty. And we conclude that though everything may seem destructive and chaotic around us, God is still on His throne, and we can trust Him!
