Born and raised in Chicago, Jerome grew up before the city became known as 'Chiraq,' facing the harsh realities of life during the crack epidemic of the 80s.

He opens up about his struggles with alcohol, starting to drink far too young, and how working in carpentry has given him a new perspective on people and life.
