Listen "Bring on the Fine Arts Heat"
Episode Synopsis
CSULB art students have been struggling with structurally unkempt classrooms in the Fine Arts department, with issues ranging from faulty ventilation and no air conditioning. Though recent heat waves during the fall semester were responsible for recent outcries from art students, the run-down state of the Fine Arts buildings has been an issue for over a decade.
In this episode, host Reyn speaks with student Kristen Huizar and alumni Michael Tran, organizers of the protests against the FA department, to get to the bottom of what has been causing this neglect. Reyn then speaks with 1994 alumni Laurie Ladrech about the history of the Fine Arts program.
