Ephesians 4:7-13: But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says:“When He ascended on high,He led captivity captive,And gave gifts to men.”(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?  He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)Until Jesus descended, He could not ascend. Until He ascended, He could not give gifts to men. There are things we cannot do in the Kingdom of God until we ascend. The reality is that the way up is down. Moses ascended to receive the pattern for his generationElijah ascended to receive the promise of the rain for his peoplePeter and the apostles ascended into the upper room to receive the promise of the SpiritWhen you ascend, you will without fail receive something for yourself and your generation. Friends, it's time to ascend and go upwards.  To ascend is first to descend and the cross is the tool with which God will take you down so you can ascend and become relevant in your generation.  Are you ready?
