Dr. Bibek Debroy, the polymath economist, author, and Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, leaves behind an unparalleled legacy of scholarship and insight. He was a guiding force for this paper, Impact of State-Level Labour Law Reforms in India: An Empirical Analysis, recently published in the Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy. Today’s episode is more than a discussion; it’s a tribute to a man who shaped our understanding of the Indian economy, an intellect lost to us only today, November 1, 2024, at the age of 69.

Together with the research of Aditya, Chirag Dudani, and Jayasimha K.
