Listen "I do a bunch of weird stuff. (Redux)"
Episode Synopsis
A year ago we talked with Kevin Cavenaugh. In case you missed that conversation we recommend you take a listen. Kevin is a rare developer. Left brain, right brain, head and heart all come to bear on his wildly creative buildings. He has carved out a special place for himself in the Portland real estate world. He has said, “I’m tired of mocha-colored, vinyl-windowed boring. I can’t change the fact that the streets are gray and the sky is gray. But the buildings?” Kevin's projects often have striking facades and far out names like Dr. Jim’s Still Really Nice, The Ocean, Burnside Rocket, Rig-a-Hut, Two-Thirds, and The Zipper. Two of his projects, Jolene’s First Cousin and Atomic Orchard Experiment, have units reserved for homeless people and social workers at reduced rates. If you'd like to join me in my quest to rethink real estate, there are two simple things you can do.
